IT Alternatives has implemented many productivity solutions for clients. The following
are a few examples.
- Situation:
A state Department of Education was responsible for generating more than 100
statistical reports for the state legislature.
The department was 18 months behind and could not hire more
employees.
Solution:
IT Alternatives analyzed the department's information flow, developed forms, trained the users, and developed a database solution that could
generate all the reports. This project was bigger
than most, but after six months of operations, all
the reports were current.
- Situation: A customer service
department for a major retailer was spending more time preparing, storing, and retrieving paperwork than serving the
customers. With paperwork out of control and
customers having to wait on the phone,
management had to do something besides hire more people.
Solution:
IT Alternatives set up a local area network (LAN) and developed a database solution that allowed the customer representatives to enter
the appropriate data. Rapid database lookups replaced time
consuming paper handling, giving management timely access to reports and greater control over company
operations.
- Situation: A client's IT department purchased several software
packages
only to discover that their data could not be converted to the new system and the software could not be used effectively.
Solution:
IT Alternatives conducted a needs analysis, reviewed more than a dozen
software packages, and recommended a package that precisely met the client's needs. We then implemented the software and trained the users. Within two weeks after concluding the training, the software was successfully up and running.
